Our Preventative Appliance Maintenance Service Policy

When you book an appliance service call with us just ask us to check all the appliances in your home FOR FREE, then we give you free suggestions and advise on our findings. We want you to be safe, worry free and we want to ensure you have efficient appliances that are working to the original appliance manufacturers specifications.

Did you know that the lint in your dryer is a fire hazard?

If you notice a significant change in the way your dryer sounds or works, have us investigate promptly. Inexpensive fixes can quickly become expensive fixes if ignored. First, always clean the lint filter between loads. Occasionally clean out the area into which the filter is inserted as far as you can. At least this will remove some of the lint that has gotten past the filter.

Some of the things that we do as preventative maintenance.

We open up the dryer cabinet and remove all interior lint, especially around the motor itself. This will prevent eventual overheating requiring motor replacement. Many times we find 1-2 cm. of lint build up which is indeed a fire hazard. This ideally should be done at least once every few years. Cleaning out the lint will minimize the possibility of lint catching on fire. Your drying time will be greatly reduced once the proper air flow is reestablished. While we have the machine fully apart we check/lubricate/adjust all moving parts. We check the belt for cracking and wear indicating the need for replacement.
